From 1999 through 2007, Marty acquired, edited, copy edited, and proof read for GGP, his edited work winning the Hugo Award, World Fantasy Award, the International Horror Guild Award, and the William L. Crawford Fantasy Award.<\/p>\n<p>Marty now freelances, working directly with authors to prepare their manuscripts for publication, as well as working for independent publishers (e.g. Tachyon Publications), and mainstream publishers (e.g. Charles Stross\u2019s \u201cLaundry Files\u201d series for Ace Books). Two of the books Marty worked on for Tachyon Publications\u2014<i>After the Fall, Before the Fall, During the Fall<\/i> by Nancy Kress and Brandon Sanderson\u2019s <i>The Emperor\u2019s Soul<\/i>\u2014won the 2013 Nebula Award and Hugo Award, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Marty\u2019s most recent anthology project was <i>Alien Contact<\/i> (Night Shade Books, 2011), an anthology of the best alien contact stories from the past thirty or so years. Wood<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is a technology consultant and a writer of Urban Fantasy, Science Fiction and quite frankly anything else that strikes his fancy. \u00a0His first novel,\u00a0<em>The Prodigal&#8217;s Foole<\/em>, was released to critical acclaim in 2012. \u00a0Mr. Wood is currently working on the second book of his series, the Winter in the City anthology project, multiple short stories, a graphic novel and a science fiction trilogy that he dusts off every few years. \u00a0Along with his writing passion, R.
